Stop and Think: Trespassing With Good Intentions (February 22, 2026)
This week’s sermon:
We’ve all tried to manage our relationship with God on our own terms—keeping up appearances, going through the motions, assuming good effort is good enough. Isaiah 1:18 cuts through that with a direct invitation: “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord”—and the question it presses is whether we’ll actually stop and think about what he’s offering.
Standing in the Lettuce (February 15, 2026)
Sunday night’s message:
How much religious activity would it take to make up for the parts of life we still withhold from God? In Isaiah 1, Israel brings a multitude of sacrifices, gathers for solemn assemblies, and makes many prayers—yet God addresses his people as Sodom and Gomorrah and says their worship has become a burden to him.
Press the Siren Button: Risky Repentance Over Comfortable Steeples (November 16, 2025)
This week’s sermon:
Comfort, institutional preservation, and tribal identity can crowd out obedience to God’s call in our lives. Do we hear His call to reach those in need of His Grace and to live in the “risky repentance” that involves?
Electric Eels, Black Ice, and the God You Can't Derail (November 9, 2025)
Sunday night’s message:
Solomon, Rehoboam, and Jeroboam all treated God’s promises like something they could improve on or control on their own terms only to encounter the pavement courtesy of the black ice of sin. Our efforts end like that, but God’s faithfulness outlasts our failures.
The Map God Already Drew (October 12, 2025)
Sunday night’s message:
When we’re desperate for direction, we tend to reach for whatever voice sounds most confident, be it horoscopes, politicians or just about anyone who seems to know something we don’t. Deuteronomy 18 speaks to our searching, reminding us God has never left His people without a trustworthy voice to follow, and what He promised there points somewhere specific.
Refuge, Not Escape (September 21, 2025)
Sunday night’s message:
When fear turns fierce and foundations feel destroyed, the counsel comes easy: flee like a bird to your mountain. In Psalm 11 David meets that advice head-on, asking how anyone can say it to his soul when he already takes refuge in the Lord.
Are We Stuck Looking Up? (May 12, 2025)
Tonight’s message:
As Jesus ascended into Heaven, the disciples needed to be challenged on what they were going to do next.
The Recipe for a Syrupy Mess (May 5, 2025)
This week’s Steadfast:
We keep wanting knowledge and power to get to what we think will make ourselves secure. God calls us instead to see how He makes us secure.
Deserve or Serve? (March 23, 2025)
This week’s sermon:
After Jericho’s walls fall without a fight, Israel feels certain the next battle will be routine—so certain they never bother to ask God first. Joshua 7 exposes a harder truth: what happens when success convinces us we’ve earned God’s blessing. One man’s hidden sin and a leader’s unexamined confidence unravel an entire people, revealing the dangerous gap between assumed standing and actual standing before God.
Sneaky Snakes: When Sin Looks Like Wet Concrete (March 2, 2025)
Sunday night’s message:
We think we have everything under control and know how to anticipate our weaknesses, yet sin still sneaks up looking attractive and attacks when least expected. In Genesis 3 a crafty serpent made the forbidden tree seem good for food, a delight to the eyes, and desirable for wisdom.
