Go Crazy!
By Timothy R Butler | Posted at 1:07 AM
Yes, the Cards trounced the Astros and St. Louis has become flooded in red. It was a nervous night even for those of us who happen to be people who usually do not follow sports. The team did great and the town, as always, showed itself to be a truly good sports town: we don't wreck our town when our team wins. Even people from Houston had to admit our city is a friendly one.
Watch out Boston, you are going down next!

Trouncing???? Ummmmmm
Ummmmm, I’m not a fan of baseball but taking all seven games to beat your opponent in any sport is IMHO not a “trouncing.” A sweep or in 5, ok, but 7?? Also I just checked MLB.com and found out that SL was actually down and had to come back to win the game.
I give out congrats to fans of both teams but neither team dominated anyone.
Good Luck to everyone involved.

Beating another team in four straight contests is a trounce. Granted, it took the Red Sox seven games, but they defeated the Yankees four times in a row. That is a thorough thrashing in any sport.

Yeah, yeah, guys. You don’t expect this to be a non-partisan reporter of sporting truth, do you?
I don’t watch baseball either (except for a really important game like last night — which I watched part of while doing other things).
BTW, Mark, from what I understand (I don’t know first hand, since I don’t follow it that closely), I think the Cardinals usually do best when they are behind at first.

I would like to see them win it. I learned how to make words in color from this post.

Hey there, I am just checking in and see that you are rooting for the cards as well! Go Cards!
Trashing your city is idiotic, no wonder why Kerry is from Massachusets as well.

Nice to see ya, Jake. You bet about the Cards. I’m in close proximity to Cardinal Nation.
