Werewolves, Again, Get Passed Over for Vampires
By Timothy R Butler | Posted at 7:43 AM
John Dickerson writes on Slate:
The GOP nominating race has become a clash of vampires and zombies. Candidates like Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich appear to die only to rise again, while Mitt Romney walks around not quite alive. In the wild narrative authored by cranky voters (who must not have heard the smart people who declared the race over months ago), the newest plot line is the battle between Rick Santorum, a candidate defined by his conviction, and Mitt Romney, one who has been defined by his lack of same.
So which one's Edward, anyway?

As I’ve stated elsewhere, I’m not particularly an Obama fan, but I expect he’ll be reelected (and that I’ll vote for him), simply because the GOP has failed to produce a viable opponent. The GOP fractured during Bush Jr.’s reign and is still tearing itself apart. Until it works through its inner dysfunction, there is no Edward.

Yes, that’s probably a point (about Edward). But, I’ll more than likely vote for whomever ends up with the nomination. I’m not excited about any of them, but I’m even less excited about continuing the Obama administration’s policies. I’d love to vote for someone because I was really excited about him (or her!), though.
