Happy Thanksgiving

By Timothy R Butler | Posted at 11:19 AM

Sorry this is late, but happy Thanksgiving to everyone here! :-) I meant to get this online last night, but after all the turkey and company I was rather busy with setting up a new piece of equipment that arrived on Wednesday. I'll talk about that in a little bit, but for now I just wanted to get my belated wish up.

BTW, what's everyone's favorite Thanksgiving dish (not counting dessert)? My favorite are the delicious homemade mashed potatoes.

RE: Happy Thanksgiving

No dessert!! Well, then it would be a cheesy potato casserole .

Green Salad

Green Salad, It’s a mixture of Horseradish, Green Jello, Cottage Cheese and your choice of nuts. There are also some other things, but I’m not sure what they are. I never personally made it. It comes from a family background in Maine, Dad’s side. My sister wasn’t able to make it up from Takoa, GA so she had the recipe sent down to share with a friends family. Anyway, it’s really good chilled and actually a sweet taste to it. You can’t really taste the horseradish. Sometimes we will make it without the nuts as my sisters don’t care for nuts.

RE: Happy Thanksgiving

Stuffing that was actually stuffed, eh?

I’m not particularly big on any part of the traditional thanksgiving meal. I’m not a big bird eater to start with. I love mashed potatoes, but they are bad for my migraines. The pumpkin pie is the only food item I really look forward to.

Fortunately, food just isn’t all that big a deal to me. What I look forward to each year is the time spent with the extended family, watching football, hanging out, etc.

Happy Thanksgiving, Tim. I like just about everything…it’s too hard to pick a favorite!
