Obama vs. Romney

Well, with Rick out it looks like we know who the players in this year's race for the White House will be. Alas, another presidential election will pass without a brokered convention, dashing the hopes of this political junkie who would like to see a political convention that decided a party's candidate and wasn't prior to my lifetime.

On one hand, I don’t think it really matters who is elected president. Our system is too screwed up and none of the candidates are likely to fix anything, even if the system allowed the president the power to do so.
That said, I think the GOP is the more dangerous of the parties at this time. Of the GOP candidates, Romney has the best chance of ousting Obama. Wise choice for those who just want Obama out. But I was hoping Santorum would somehow pull through and make a joke of the whole process.
