I decided to revive my old Question of the Week meme once again. Let’s start out with a bang.
Q - What theologian would you say you align yourself most closely to?
O - What appeals most about this theologian’s theology?
T - How would you respond to those who disagree with that point?
W - What do you find yourself disagreeing with this theologian on?

I’m Catholic so I believe everything he (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) said.
Each to their own. Discussing religion is tough because the minute you declare your faith, and if it’s different from the person you are communicating with, you are automatically telling that person their religion is wrong. That is why I choose not to have long and detailed conversations with people I barely know. Even some friends are off limits due to their upbringing and differences in what they believe.
Disgreeing No, having a hard time with, Yes. His call to always be a better person. I know I need to do it, but sometimes I’m just too lazy, ie. human.
Tim, this would be a great meme but has a flaw: most theologians one feels most ‘closely aligned to’ would be in total agreement with his proponents. In my case, the closest theologian to my thought would be Herman Bavinck, as passed down by Louis Berkhof. The problem is that those people are almost boringly orthodox, so how could you disagree with them?
